Homemade Tuna & Smoked Salmon Poke

Enjoy this fresh, flavorful poke recipe made with a combination of tuna medallions and smoked salmon. It’s perfect as a light meal or a shareable appetizer served with crispy wontons or crackers.

Ingredients:

Seafood:

• ½ lb sushi-grade tuna medallions, cubed

• ½ lb smoked salmon, cubed

Veggies & Herbs:

• 1 cup English cucumber, cubed

• 2 green onions, thinly sliced

• ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

• 1 serrano pepper, thinly sliced (optional)

Sauce:

• ¼ cup soy sauce

• 1½ teaspoons sesame oil

• 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (preferably Kewpie)

• 1½ teaspoons sriracha (adjust to taste)

• Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Garnish:

• 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

• Optional: sliced avocado, chili flakes, or nori strips

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Seafood:

Cube the tuna and smoked salmon into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

2. Add Vegetables:

Mix in the cubed cucumber, sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, and serrano pepper (if using).

3. Make the Sauce:

In a separate small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, mayonnaise, and sriracha until smooth and creamy.

4. Combine & Season:

Pour the sauce over the seafood and veggies. Gently toss until everything is evenly coated. Add salt and pepper to taste.

5. Chill:

Cover and refrigerate the poke for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

6. Serve:

Garnish with toasted sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy with fried wonton chips, rice, or crackers.
