• My fertility story

I never thought I’d be writing this post. But here I am because if it helps even one woman feel hope again, then it’s worth sharing.

My first pregnancy came as a surprise. I wasn’t tracking anything, I wasn’t trying… it just happened. I had my beautiful son and thought, “Next time, I’ll plan it out.” So five years later, when we decided to try for baby number two, I thought it would be easy.

    But it wasn’t.

I planned everything. I wanted to get pregnant in November so my baby could be born in the summer. I tracked my ovulation religiously. I bought every kit, every test. I even gave my husband zinc and vitamins, fully convinced the issue couldn’t be with me… because I had already gotten pregnant before.

Still, every month ended in disappointment.

Eventually, I became obsessed. The kind of obsession only another woman trying to conceive can understand. I started researching day and night. I wasn’t ready to give up, but I was exhausted.

Then, I came across two Chinese herbal teas that women were raving about online Xi Xian Cao and Yi Mu Cao. I bought them, but I didn’t take them right away. Honestly, they just sat in my cabinet. I didn’t want to get my hopes up again.

Six months passed. I was emotionally drained. I finally told myself: “This is my last try.” I pulled out those teas, added a few more supplements I had read about, and started a simple 2-week routine.

    And then something happened.

    I got a positive.

It still gives me chills to write that.

After all the stress, the tracking, and the tears this quiet moment of surrender led to everything I had been praying for. And now, I share this same exact routine with other women. I even recommended it to a friend who was also struggling to conceive her second baby and she got pregnant too.

This is not medical advice. I’m just sharing what worked for me! Please check with your doctor before taking any medications.

    Exactly What I Took:

These are the products I used for two weeks only, starting on the first day of my period:

    1. Xi Xian Cao (Siegesbeckia herb)
A Chinese herb believed to help clear inflammation and support reproductive pathways.
    2. Yi Mu Cao (Chinese Motherwort)
Known to help regulate the menstrual cycle, cleanse the uterus, and support hormonal balance.
    3. Doctor’s Best Serrapeptase
An enzyme supplement that helps clear possible scar tissue in the fallopian tubes and uterus, promoting a healthier environment for implantation.
    4. Ritual Prenatal Multivitamin
A clean, effective prenatal I took consistently, not just during the 2 weeks, but throughout my cycle and pregnancy. This is the only supplement I continued taking after ovulation.

    How I Took Them:

    • Start on Day 1 of your period: As soon as your cycle begins, begin taking the teas and supplements.
    • Duration: I took them for 10–14 days, then stopped right before ovulation.
    • Preparation: I took capsule versions with warm water, once or twice a day. If using tea form, many women recommend boiling the herbs and drinking them as tea (adding lemon or honey if needed).
    • Important: Once ovulation begins, stop taking the Xi Xian Cao, Yi Mu Cao, and Serrapeptase.
    • Keep taking your prenatal through ovulation and beyond.

Final Thoughts & A Message to You

If you’re reading this, and you’re in that place I was in, feeling defeated, tired, or like your body’s failing you. I see you. I’ve been you.

And I want you to know something very important:
    Don’t give up!

You are not broken. Your time is coming. I believe so deeply that sometimes, our bodies just need a little support and our minds need a little peace.

    And speaking of peace…
Please, please try not to stress. I know that’s easier said than done. But stress is real. And it affects more than just your mood, it affects your hormones, your cycle, your chances.

    Be gentle with yourself.

Do what you can, then let go of the pressure.
You’re doing enough. Your baby is on the way. I truly believe that.

If you try this and get a positive, please come back and comment. I would LOVE to celebrate with you.
From my heart to yours: I’m wishing you the happiest ending to this chapter.

    With all my love,
    Giselle
